In other news, I’m preaching this week on the mission of Jesus as portrayed in Luke.
I had a very rich study today even though the wind and rain knocked out power at my office for a couple of hours.
I later had a good time with my friend Benson Hines who’s spending the night at my place tonight. I’ve told you about him before, and will blog a bit more about our conversation surrounding campus ministry later. He’s passing through San Francisco on his way to speak at the CollegeLeader Conference in SoCal.
Oh, and my wife’s pregnant again. Yes, she is!
Lord willing, we’ll have a new member of the family in May of next year. 
“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith…” (1 Peter 5:8-9a) “Be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear – hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.” (Jude 22-23)
